World-expert Dr Darren Warburton, co-Director of the Physical Activity and Chronic Disease Prevention Unit at the University of British Columbia (UBC) is to present at the REPS Welsh Convention on February 18th in Cardiff.
As well as writing for publications including the Canadian Medical Association Journal, the American Journal of Physiology he is director of the Sports Cardiology and Musculoskeletal Assessment Research Team (SMART 1010) for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games, and is heading the revision of the Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR_Q) and the Physical Activity Readiness Medical Examination (PARmed-Q).
REPs Registrar Jean-Ann Marnoch said: “This is unique opportunity for members to listen to one of the world’s top experts talk about the role exercise can play in preventing chronic disease.
