REPs registrations up 8%

FitMixPro Sponsor AdNumbers of registrations on the Register of Exercise Professionals, for both new members and returning members, is up eight per cent on last year, according to the latest figures from the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs). The news follows the findings of the 2011 REPs’ customer satisfaction survey which showed more than eight out of 10 REPs’ registered instructors are satisfied with the level of customer service the Register offers.

In addition the survey, the third of its kind showed: Overall, about nine in ten REPs’ members feel that a membership body is important to their work, with about two thirds identifying it as very important

  • Seven out of ten members feel their interests are (very or fairly) well supported by the Register
  • Eighty-two per cent of members said that a membership body providing recognition of professional status is important and is their main reason for joining the Register.
  • Currently, 7 out of 10 members think their interests as fitness professionals are well supported by REPs

REPs Registrar Jean-Ann Marnoch said: “Next year REPs celebrates its 10th anniversary and what better way to mark a decade of the Register than with such positive figures. This is a difficult time economically for us all and to have such a tangible vote of confidence from our members in terms of their registration and re-registration is fantastic.”
