Yesterday (Monday 1st October, 2012) Jean-Ann Marnoch, Registrar for REPs, attended the YMCA Building Brighter Futures event at the Paramount, Centre Point, London.
Below, Jean-Ann gives a nice round-up of the night:
“The event was a fantastic opportunity to find out more about how the world’s first YMCA programme has transformed young lives for the better by increasing sport, fitness, children’s play and youth work opportunities throughout local communities. It was also attended by several celebrity guests including; Team GB Olympians Greg Rutherford, Christine Ohuruogu, Zoe Smith, Daniel Purvis and Mike Hanney.”
Jean-Ann spent time with each Olympian, discussing the value of the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs). She even discovered that Christine Ohuruogu’s brother is about to qualify as a Personal Trainer.
Mike Hanney, Team GB Paralympian and has agreed to write a piece for the REPs journal based on his experiences as a REPs Personal Trainer… keep an eye out for this in the next Journal edition!
